you know if Yamaha wanted to, they could keep right on with the banshee or hell any 2 stroke for that matter. The technology is here. Direct or straight up fuel injected 2 strokes do not pollute no more than a 4 stroke. Evinrude has already proved this with there E TEC engine. That engine out performs, weighs less, and burns cleaner than any 4 stroke outboard they put it up against.
So the EPA being the reason 2 strokes are almost dead?? BULL............SHIT!!!
The epa just has criteria that needs to be met, and the damn manufacturers don't wanna put in the R&D money to develop 2 strokers to meet the criteria. |
