Mildly modified 450's do not make 58hp, I dont care what dyno sheet shows it. Dyno's can be manipulated and non of them are exactly the same. It takes a lot of mods to make 58hp on a 450. And it takes a lot more than a gas 265 setup like yours to make 55.9hp on a decent dyno. One of the fastest 265's running currently only made 60hp on methanol completely setup to drag, there is a lot more than 4hp difference between your bike and his. You can brag that number if you like, its fine by me.

Really you think so, I bet you have never even sat on a LTR. The bike is flat ass sweet. It out handles a R, yes it does. Now a full aftermarket high end R may handle better but the margin is very very slim, the LTR has pushed the envelope for handling Honda set with the R. Plus I dont know how many CT motors you have ridden but I have never seen one that ran worth a shit. Say Im wrong if you want but I have a shitty ass high rev ported CT 310 in my garage right now getting ready to make it run somewhat respectable. Granted a As cast 330 (which is basically CT's porting) may have more power than a bone stock LTR, but for around $50 that LTR is faster. Throw another $500-$700 at it an it only gets better. You people have no clue how low hp those CT big bores really dyno at, they are turds. 184 degrees exhaust, thats 2 more than a bone stock 89 250R. Pathetic.

wowa a 265 makin 55+ ponies. on gas ummmmmmm,,, hmmmm,,,.... well my buddy has a very modded yfz450 we figured it out one day with quad in the figure he's pushin 22k total invested. we dyno'd it at mikes honda in menasha wisc"one of the better dyno's in the state" and they had a portable at janseen racing in kaukana wisconsin like 2 miles from my house, and both numbers came out really really close. he was at about 55-58 ponies dependin on chart. but ya i got the chance to see a slightly modded ltr like pipe, cherry bomb, electricals, limiters etc, etc, etc go head to head with him and about 8k less invested and the ltr stood its ground very well

last weekend at Sand Mountain in Utah there was a new piped, cammed LTR that was eating everyone out there that wasn't riding a drag bike...i didn't have my shee but i think it would have been close....my buddy with a ported, cammed, piped, TRX 450 and my other buddy with a piped shee got eaten alive by the LTR.....the kid might have lied on the mods though he was that type...he had stickers and numbers all over his shit...i think he was a racer....none the less that thing was rockin the mountain.

That Ltr may be bad, but for me, there is just something about that R.

i'd rather have the r personally, but that is because i'm a 2 stroke guy. i plan on never adjusting valves.

i'm no moderator....so i know my opinion means jack.....but this thread is about the ltr vs that 330.....not baddazz250's 265.....or your buddy who has a 58 horsepower yfz. jmo.
