A couple of guys over on ATV Hudson Valley mentioned this was to be on last night, but most of us missed it. Well they re-aired it today at noon time. just saw it. it was kinda short, but very bigoted in my opinion. just found the article and vid on line too.

i agree in the fact that kids are more likely to get hurt on bigger quads, but besides the fact that the kids normally do something stupid to cause it... if our going to get on a 4 wheeler and try to climb a big ass hill... yeah your probably going to get hurt, if your a first time rider and your going to try a wheelie or stoppie yeah your probably going to get hurt. if your going to go out and ride wihout a helmet your a dumbass and yeah your probably going to get hurt.. is it's the ATV's fault or the ATV maufacturer's fault that you got hurt doing something that the machine wasn't designed to do? or opperator error? last time i checked most kids 15 and 16 don't have 9 grand to fork into a new adult sized ATV.. more parents fault for letting them ride it then anything. and in the video they have the stupidest quad riders i have ever seen pulling stupid shit.. and i'm not saying the kid deserved the ending that was bistowed apon him, but how fast was he going? they specualte he got water and/or mud in his eyes? where was his goggles? was he wearing a helmet? how long was it before he hit a rock or whatever they say he hit? why wouldn't you hit the break if you couldn't see? sounds more like a protection issue on his parents part then the fault of the ATV.. they leave out some important facts about the crash there that could easily tip the scale in the fact that it was more the kids fault then the ATV or the manufacturers. if ya seen a quad come out of the factory they have (at least polaris i know for sure) a under 18 sticker on em. saying do not ride if under 18.. well WTF where they thinkin anyways letting the kid go out? By no means am i saying in anyway that this child deserved to die, but don't blame the ATV's and manufacturers for your brainfart... my 2 cents

atv's aren't dangerous...it is the suicidial retard that rides with no helmet and dies that is dangerous...it is all about knowing your skill level

when i was at saint anthony i saw an 8 year old riding a piped 450...where were his parents...mia...he was with a 9 and 10 year old....i watched him ride for a while and then it happened...he went down a big dune...turned and rolled it...atv landed on him...i get over their and roll it off of him and he was touching his elbow

those parents have to complain about something to make themselves feel better about letting thier son die. a good parent wouldn't let a kid that age with little experiance and no safety gear on at all. in my opinion it's always bad to lose a loved one, but to lose a loved one because you are not a responable parent and blame it on atv guide lines is fucking stupid. obviously the parents can't read because i bet it says somewhere on the quad no one under the age of 16. idiots

it is a parents responsibilty to watch and guide over their children till there 18 ,kids are gonna do dumb things thats why its so important to teach them safety and common sense/good morals before they get into trouble .It all goes back to bad parenting IMO.thats why this country is full of prozac/ritalin zombied up kids who dont know where their daddy is or ever got their ass whipped when they mess up
