| well, i just got in from looking at it, i jacked it up kicked it up put i in gear and i was watching to rear tire spin a little akward, not very much. but where the brake drum meets the tire i noticed the rim was sort of revolving around the edges. i think it is the bushing after all, and the swingarm wiggles a little side to side, but my step dad thinks its just a litte play... i'm not sure what to believe. we are about to get nailed with a supposedly "giant storm" so tonight before i got to sleep im gonna go cover my bike up and when i move it to my bros garage i will have alot more drive to fix it cause its not cold in there ad i have a good space to work. so guess im going to leave it the way it is for a few days. and just discuss troubleshooting deals on it. |

| check the tension on the spokes, are they all there? My buddies '04 CR feels this way. Does it feel like the tire is flat? Do you mostly feel it in the lower gears? My buddies wheel is fairly true on the stand, but feels all over the place when riding. His spokes are stretched out beyong tightening, and some are missing. Having the wheel adjustment out of sqaure isnt good for the sprockets and brake rotor, but I doubt would cause a "wiggle". |

| swing arm bushings and wheel bearing issues will be obvious by grabbing the wheel and wiggling it around |

| i dont think it would be the spokes, cause ive been riding it a bit lately, mostly on pavement cause everywhere else there is 2 feet of cold white stuff. when i was riding it felt like the back end had a mind of its own. it did the same thing a loose tire would do kind of "sway" back and forth cause a wiggle. i have come to my conclusion that it is most likely the bishing inbetween the drum brake and wheel. cause i see some unevenness (like my vocab?) when i spin it around. but just now i went out and covered it up for the oncoming storm. any advice on how to tighten up my rear shock? |

| alrighty, well i went back out. took my tire off and i measured the umm washer thingy and it had ten thousandths of an inch of play on it. i think that is the cause of my troubles. and getting th ebolt back through the swingarm/tire/drumbrake is so much fun... not.. i had to get help so they could hold my bike while i put it through. so after i put it through my step dad lets go of the bike.WTF. and it tips and the front brake lever nails the hood of my 2000 cavilier big old crevace along with a 6 inch scratch. and i was trying to fix my chain tension deals and i ppulled em out all the way... and still ntohing. so i think when i put the bolt back through i missed the holes. can you even do that? |

| i am not saying that is your problem, but thats exactly how a wheel with loose spokes acts. The washer thingy is the spacer. The bearings are in the hub If they are that shot, you wouldn't even need to take it apart to tell. Just put it up on a stand and wiggle things around til you find where the movement is. Does the tire wiggle at a steady speed?, does it get worse with power applied? |

| Things to check: 1.) Axle. now these are built strong but enough of a force will slightly bend it oblonging the bushings. 2.) bushings.. there sould be a little bit of play when the nut is loose, but when you tighten the nut there should be no play what so ever. so the bushings are tight against the swingarm. Spokes. take the axle and tire, put it back on the bike w/o bushings and spin it. see if it wobbles or bounces on the axle. if it does i would recomend taking it to a shop and get the tire trued. and as for your chain tension. way too tight..... sould have a .5" play in both directions so an inch total. approx.

| alright, last night i took the bushing out of the rim and i measured the inside of the bushing and the outside of the bolt. there was 10 thousanths of an inch of play and i felt a slitght wiggle when i was tweaking it, any idea on how much these would cost? |

| let me check. hit me up on msn if ya want
