I'd buy a 175cc 2 stroke MX bike. Sure as hell rather ride one of those over a 250cc 4-stroke. I'm sure every sound sensitive next-door neighbor would rather see 2-strokes make a comeback too. The problem is more and more people think that the less-than-one-percent of exhaust emissions that comes from our recreational offroad riding is causing such a huge problem that we need to replace our smaller displacement, better maintained (cause of the lower cost), 2-stroke engines with larger displacement, louder, four-strokes (that usually burn oil anyway because few owners keep them in perfect running condition cause of the huge maintenance costs). I own a 4-stroke quad (a warrior) and I love it, it runs forever with very little maintenance... it's not very fast, but I don't race it. Anything I buy with the intent to race will always be a 2-stroke though, because my bike is always an hour away from a new top-end, but it takes a good 3 hours (and twice the amount of money) to do the top-end on my friends 4-stroke enduro bikes. Plus I can ride all day without the neighbors calling the cops.

Somewhere I went from quick comment to rant.... oh well.

ha ha ha wtf is this??? a CR175?? somone ban the retard that even thought that shit up honda doesnt even have any two strokes in their offroad line anymore. a 150f a 250f and 450f. no 85 125 or 250 anymore at all for 08. AMA made a rule that 144 is the top 2stroke displacement that can compete in the lites class, and ktm jumpped on it and came out with a 144SX. no bike maker, especialy a jap company, is gonna waste time making a 175 for.... who? even when ama wouldnt allow it to race agasint the bikes its "suposedly" competing against. i do have some good news tho. http://www.motorcycle.com/manufactur...xp2-14293.html
but someone kick the retard that thinks hondas making a 175 in the nuts so he cant procreate
