In Michigan if you purchased any ORV prior to like April 1995 you are not required to title or register anything- grandfather clause. After that failing to title any transfer is illegal, but doesn't mean people do.
Ever been stopped by the DNR and have them ask for your atv or dirtbike registration? Or your EPC training certificate?
Here in Mi, my 6,9, and 24 year olds ride on theirs on private land, not state. Don't even know where they would take a safety class, never had a dealer offer one or say where the classes are offered.
my 9 year old son took the orv class through the dnr in michigan and you have to be 16 to ride atv even on private prop. but as a 9 year old he can ride a cr500 if i wanted nice state law . go michigan
