Default BRING on ETEC technology to bikes!

Hi guys,

Im new to this forum, so hello

Dunno if this has been posted before but it is some VERY good news! This can only mean good things to the revival of 2 strokes!

http://www.motorcycle.com/news/brp-i...rch-67072.html

For those of you who dont know BRP owns Evinrude outboards who produce the Etec range of outboard motors.

i heard about a fuel injected 2 stroke evinrude was going to manufacture that had all new port designs so it wouldnt let any gas out of the exhaust port, it seemed like a promising idea, by the way welcome to the forums, what do u ride?

Cheers.

They are called Etec's and have already been made and are fast becoming a very popular choice here in Australia. Just an example of how good they are on fuel- A local fisho got 131 kilometres out of 60 Litres on a 130HP ETec on a 5.4m fibreglass boat. Pretty impressive if you ask me!

For more information on them- http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/

I have only ever owned 2 stroke bikes. Dont think I will be ready for dark side anytime soon! I have a road registered Yz250wr. Basically a YZ250 which has bare essentials to get it rego'ed in australia. Feels pretty cool riding it down the road legally!

Here is what it is- http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/motor...6&modelcatid=5
