I talked to a KTM rep today and he said that they have 3 types of fuel induction designs that will make they're 2 strokes emissions compliant. They even have prototypes that are built and have been tested. He said that there is no need to sell them yet, because they're 2 strokes still meet the standards. It looks to me like they are dead set on keeping them and making them king again. He said they have not even thought about dropping them. They might make the other manufactures think long and hard.

I will never, ever, ever ride a ktm, even though they are the only builder still developing and putting out 2 stroke motorcycles. So I'll be riding my CR for years to come.

well if they decide to put those out on the market soon,
as you know that yamaha honda etc etc are always in competition with eachother including ktm kawasaki and all the others...i think maybe theyll get the clue and find there own way to produce effecient 2 strokes also,,as they want some of the buisness, and not just sit there like idiots and let ktm get all the buisness.

I agree! Does everyone realize how much business that they'd get? I talked to a local Honda dealer a month ago and asked if just maybe they had an 07 CR250 in their warehouse. He said that if he had a dollar for everytime he heard that, he'd be a millionaire. There are a lot of people that still and always will have what I like to call 2 stroke fever like me. No matter how much they say a thumper is better. It just doesn't give my the same seat of the pants thrill. They are like an old man farting, the torque is there and then it falls off. There is no replacement for the sound, smell, crazy power, etc.... that a 2 banger offers. They bad thing is that they won't put a real rider on a 2 stroke to let everyone see that they are still competitive and are still winners with the right rider on them. Maybe KTM will spark a revolution. Most 2 bangers are old technology and think about the possibilities of our technology now. I smell something brewing with KTM.

Actually this is the last year for the RM and Yamaha has claimed that they might keep their's around for a while. It's mostly because of the rule change that 250 2 strokes can run in the class with 250 4 pokes. Sounds interesting don't it! LOL! I know for a fact that KTM is here to stay though.
