More 2 strokes in the future?

i know nobody really cares about them, but GasGas i think (i'm not really sure) still are very proud of their 2-stroke quad.

Modern Big D engines put out very little pollutants. Just because they put out some black smoke doesnt mean it's as toxic for the atmosphere and environment as a clear gas. Carbon is the source of the black most likely and carbon is not nearly as much what the government is worried about.

As far as 2 stroke coming back, its a pipe dream. Its not going to happen. Manufacturers are not going to try and spend a bunch of money on modern 2cycle research and directly oppose what the government wants when they will sell just as many of the fourstroke race models as they can make. Things people dont take into consideration is the fact that producing a low emission 2 stroke is possible but they dont perform as well as the good ole polluting ones so why. Would you ride a two stroke thats slow just because its a 2stroke, I dont think so.
Just live it up while you can and except fate.

regardless of production runs and corporation profit margins and stats ,we certainly can t deny its a fact that history always repeats itself , could you imagine people wearing low cut pants with belled bottoms again since the seventys???? ... it happens.things come back around now i m not saying they ll produce more in 10 years im jus t saying as long as people enjoy them and race the m like they do theyll never die and always have a calling as long as theyre are some red blooded american boys left in the usa in the future

banning desial engines would be very bad, the effect of that would make our economy go down alot, i got that. BUT if they alow big 600ci black smoke makers to run around in the places whare we live why cant they let wee bitty 250cc 2 strokes to be riddin at the track? and it cant produce any more "carbon" than a 4 stroke. all that is diffrent is that it burns oil.

What are you talking about? Did you know that a deisel engine produces less hydrocarbons than a gasoline engine. Thats right, that big black cloud coming out of a truck is less harmful than no cloud coming out of a gasoline car. In fact, the government in pushing auto makers to produce deisel cars due to the fact that they get better gas milege (for the most part) and they pruduce less HARMFUL emissions. Just thought you'd like to know. I want to see that article that says the gov. is trying to ban them.
