More 2 strokes in the future?

A sales man at a local Kawasaki shop told me that honda is going to try to stop making 2 strokes by 2007. Is this true? say it aint so.

A lot of 4poke lovers are saying this, but no one has said they were shutting down 2stroke production for sure. If manufactures would put all of their time and money into 2stroke research instead of 4joke research then there would be no talk of shutting down 2stroke production.

In my opinion 4stroke people start these rumors because they still can't beat 2strokes. They're mad because they lose to 2strokes all the time so they try to start stuff about stopping 2stroke production.

I grew up with 4 strokes all my life and im just now getting familiar with 2 strokes, but from the little experince i have, i like them more, threre quicker, lighter, faster, easyer to work on and cheeper by a hell of a lot. and i dont think theres enuf 2 strokes in the world to make a lick of diffrence in the enviroment, and i realy wish they would bring back 2 stroke street bikes.

if the goverment would ban any type of engine it should be desials (not that i dont like desials, its just that they polute much more than oil+gas 2 strokes) so if they will alow desial powerd 2 strokes, they should allow gas and oil driven 2 strokes.

That would tank the economy. The vast majority of our shipping in this country (and really world wide) depends on diesel powered vehicles. Trains, trucks, ships.... ban that crap and we'd be pretty much shafted.
