| Yamaha also "gave love" to the Banshee, and other quads and bikes, by releasing a new 50th Anniversary edition. It's the old school Yamaha colors - yellow and black - and it looks awesome. I'm hoping to get a 50th Anniversary R-6.

| I don't know if that is love, to me that is lame almost over 20 years of the banshee and that is the best they could come up with to say farewell. I guess atleast they did something. They are still a bunch of 4-pokin bitches over at Yamaha. They see revenue in having people buy a piece of crap 4-stroke that will break down in 3 year and be forced to buy new since the cost of repair would be more than a new quad. Not to mention very few can rebuild a 4-stroke on there own. Compared to a 2-stroke where most anyone armed with a manual can redo a top end in a couple hours. Just sucks to see it go. Hopefully I will have enough money to buy a new one before they are gone.

| If it is going to be the last year of the blaster or if it is next year they are not going to release it with any modifications because it would cost them way to much money in R&D to then discontinue it the year after. My point is for the banshee being almost 20 years old that is all they could come up with. Just a few brochures and pictures and that is it. Come on there has to be more that they can put up there like interviews with original designers, list of changes over the years few as they may be, Magazine articles over the years.... The list goes on. It was just a piss pour attempt at a farwell in my eyes

| well banshee is right they should have gave more recognition to it but at least they did somethin....it would be so cool if they kept the banshee alive. I still don't get why 4 strokes are thought to be more reliable?

| Hey I'll give the Banshee prop's. I was out riding with my brother and brother-n-law at a local hotspot and there was this big bunch of rich kids, couldn't have been anything but high school kids and they had there high dollar 4 strokes, honda's, yamaha 450's, & sukuzi's. They all had been modded and you could smell there high octane gas. They also had there matching gear and boots, you know the whole set-up. As for my bunch our quads are a little less impressive and we had our jeans and camo shirts on along with our helments, so I'm sure they where laughing as we drove by. But when it came to racing this kid which was prolly one of the rich ones too, had a black with gold banshee and lined up and ran sevral times, but the ol'shee beat'um down everytime. It was very funny. I really believe the rich kids sat with there helments off looking around and talking more than they rode, like they didn't want to get dirty or something. Maybe it was just me. 2 stroke's are the Bomb!!!!
