Default 125

I've heard from a few friends that now you will be able to race 125's bored to 144. Just wondering if it was true.

Yep, it's true in amateur racing only not pro. Get ready for all the 250f guys to switch back to the 2smokes, or get their asses handed to them!!

doubt that will happen. 250fs make some serious ass power these days especially because everyone is develpoing new parts for them and the r&d is falling a bit on 2strokes.

up at my buddies track there was a guy there with a yzf250 with a pipe and a cam and maybe some other odds and end and it gave my bike a pretty good fight on the straitaways.

Just think about how you might do if you had an Eric Gorr yz144 topend. I can't wait to get my 2006 yz125 and do the bigbore kit. Racing will be alot less expensive with these newer, competetive bigbore 2strokes and there's supposedly the kit gets rid of almost all that lowend bog on the 125's and just keeps pullin all the way through. Too bad the pro's can't do this yet, because I'm sure alot would switch.

problem is that most of the factory sponsered pros all ride 4-strokes. Not too many pros ride 125s anymore.

That would be so cool to see smokers back in pro races. I wonder if the start of next season we will start to notice alot of people switching in the amatuers.
