Young ATV riders NEED help!

Go to www.atvscene.com and click on the information about "your atv safety comments needed-before its to late" This concerns kids mainly, but please help. Heres the deal, the CPSC (consumer product saftey commision) is trying to BAN sales of atv's to minors (16yrs or less). This means its going to be tough as hell (illegal acutally) to sell a quad to anyone who intends to let children ride it. We want you to write and/or email letters to the CPSC explaining why they shouldn't do that. Also, throw in something about educating young riders (sorta like hunters safety) and haveing the state really take control of helping teach kids about safety. I would appreciate it if you take ACTION!!!! and don't just bitch about it. I don't want people replying to this thread acting all pissed off and surprised. Just email and/or write to the CPSC and get something done! BTW, the deadline is december 13, so don't delay!

and as for little kids riding, that is completely ridiculous. . . are they wanting to put a ban on dirt bikes too or just quads, i'm kinda confused. . . and as for little kids riding my daughter is gonna be one before she's 4 and no one can stop me. . . hooray for the country and hidden wooden lots. . .

vote republican people, you'll have less trouble with the crazy annoying safety people. . .

50's are fun and all but an adult wouldn't want to just buy a brand new 49cc bike for almost 2 grand just for playing and goofing off, that would kinda put an end to currently produced minis, (unless you're rich, or sponsored by those 50 Nuts people)

Vote Republican? HAHAHA...Bush is in power AS I SPEAK and look WTF is happening. How bout this, write the dam letter and vote for whoever is going to help the ATV community the most...repub or dem doesn't matter. Now, i don't have room to speak about because I was underage the last time he was voted in. In my opinon, neither candidate was fit for presidency. i understand what you say about repubs and how they are USUALLY for us, but that isn't the case right now. While Bush does try to free up some land for us and whatnot, ALL the major issues become huge cluster f**ks since he has been pres. As for the CPSC, its to bad we can't vote on who runs that. O well, vote for whoever will help the sport the most, regardless of party.

Kerry is a douche bag, he got alot of lower income people to vote for him because of his proposal on raising minimum wage, all that's gonna do is cause inflation. . .

inflation doesn't just raise economies standard prices to cover for larger incomes; it more than makes up for it. . . standards are raised like we the people make time and half on a regular 40 hour week. . .

well sh*t this isnt not cool i am only 14 but just because iam young doesent mean i cant ride i think they should have a test for minors to see if there ready to ride the quad they plan to buy

thee are rider saefty course and you get them free with the perchase of a new quad or bike.... i know because i took one such course in 98 when i got my blaster.... i missed this thread and wish i hadn't.... i've been ridign since 4.. my parents tossed me on a ATC70 and let me go.... i think all parents shuold do the same (granted the kids even remotly responsiple and not a little bratty fucker)
