your on crack. i'm sorry but 40lbs is like a SHIT LOAD of weight on a 300-350lb machine.

Try more like 15...tops. And here me out.
A batter doesn't weight 5lbs
A starter doesn't weight 5lbs
A side cover with the extra space for the starter (definately not 5lbs(
Extra wiring...maybe 1lb MAX
...what else is there of any significance?

Seriously think about...do you understand HOW MUCH each part would have to weight to equal 40lbs...don't play dumb.

Not that it matters one bit but...... 363.0 pounds (Electric Start)/357.0 pounds (Kick Start) for the Honda 450r

Thats an 8 lb difference. If that seems like a big difference just take a nice big shit then go riding. LOL.

How come Honda killed the 250R back in 1989 and Yamaha kept on with the Banshee? any one knows the reason?

my opinon is that the disapearence of the honda 250r so early is the greatest mystery of our 2 stroke relm. why would such a great bike be put down so fast and while so many ppl loved it.
