Default 07 Yamaha two stroke ?

Anyone know any 2006 Yamaha model rumors, more specifically what about a YZ 65. I have heard that they may consider a 65 to compete in that class. The dealers aren't talking. My daughter is trying to step to a m-xer and we want to stay with the Blue. So if there are any true blues out there, advice to prevent me from going Green would be appreciated. I have heard a June release date for the news, but there has already been some marketing shows around the US. Any help ? thanks, Joel

How old is your daughter? A 65 is good for a first bike but you shouldn't by it new cause she is only goin to grow out of it and need a bigger bike

They havn't discontinued all 2 strokes, but the new emmission standards for '07 are basically doing it for them. You wont see many 2stroke carburated bikes that can pass the test.

http://www.epa.gov/otaq/recveh.htm#regulations

But, all hope is not lost. Many companies are testing and in some cases already in production of 2 stroke EFI machines that are much more efficiant and capable of passing the standard.

KingsJ: I would have to agree with 250kid. A 65 is a cool little bike but she will out grow it to quickly to justify buying it new. Save some money and look for something used. when she out grows it then maybe a new 80 or 125 would make sense.
