In otherwords, it hardly ever starts when you want it to, and by the time your huffin and puffin out of breath and ready to give up, it cranks up. As a rule of thumb at the last race, I started trying to crank one full moto before I needed to be in the grid, and by the time I got the thing running it was just about time to get on the track. I even modified the piston to lower the compression ratio, and that helped, but didn't make enough difference. A lot of guys install de-compression valves in either the cylinder or the head. I might end up doing that eventually but just not interested in doing that at this point in time.

I don't know what the top speed is with the 15/36 gearing but I was running the Cross Roads track in 2nd and 3rd gears only if I remember right. You could have MAYBE used 4th if you were wanting to be real ballsy but I dunno, it'd be iffy. Theres a race on the 17th in Ocala on a 3/8 mile stock car track, Hopefully someone has a radar gun cause I'm gonna try and open it on up
Yeah, they are a bitch to start. Mine is a bit tough when it's cold, but not too bad, a little starting fluid will do it every time if it is being real stubborn. I'm sure my long kicker and 215lb. ass make it easier. It starts up pretty easy once it is warmed up though.
