This swap requires a bit of fabricating on your part. the exhaust on the 87+ engines Exits straight out the front, However on the 85-86 their is a metal support bar right there. So not only would you have to remove this, but then create new front mounts for the engine & also a lateral support for the frame (since you have just removed the previous support).
Also think about how your going to get the pipe to line up. Also the intake...

I would think that it is in your best interest to keep the engine it has in it. However, It has been done before.....
