Yes you can run the dunes on alky, but NO I would not for a few reasons. One, alky burns so fast by the time you got across the dunes you would be out of fuel. 2nd, you would need a fuel pump or gravity fed carbs. But on the plus side when running alky its real easy to tune your bike and alky is actually cheaper than say race fuel, I.E torco or turbo blue. There is a gas station by my house that sells torco and its almost $6 bucks a gallon. For your bike I would run regular pump gas if you plan on just running the dunes. If you make the switch to drag racing definately run alky.
