If you are thinking about a CR500 motor, get the crank balanced. Trust me, it is a necessity for any CR500 quad. I had a balanced crank in mine at first and it was not bad, when I had to replace the crank, I didn't balance the new one, and I really regret it. Now I have to tear the motor back apart and have it done anyway. I should have spent the extra $200 the first time. That being said, I would try to find a 'Zilla motor, they aren't as strong as the CR, but it would be less troublesome.
