What is the stock bore on an 81 250r? And will an 81 jug and head and piston work on an 83 motor?

this is off topic but i have a whole 1981 atc 250 r if ya want it it needs a little work but its fixable and it runs it just needs a head gasket ill show ya a pic

Stock bore is 70mm... The piston is the same '81-'84

the bottom ends are the same, except for the shift shaft, the 83-84 has a short one and the 81-82 has a long one

Thanks, Im lookin for a top end for an 83,need everything ,jug,head,piston,intake,and carb.

I have a jug and a head (I think) the jug has a deep gouge in it, and will have to have some serious boring done, and has 2 fins partially broken off, if you might want it you can have it for shipping, I wont charge you for the cyinder as it needs some work but I beleive it can be saved.

Well,that didnt work out.My friend was going to give me an 83 atc250r but i went and looked at it and it had been sitting outside for a while before he got it .He freed up the bottom end and never put a top end on it.He also robbed parts off of it for his 84,like the rear axle and carrier,brakes and stuff.So i dont know if i really want to do that.So i went over there today and he gave me an 86 atc250r that needs a complete engine with carb and it needs a gas tank,thats it.Plus,also,too,he gave me a tecate 4 that is complete but has no fire.It also has what i now believe is a kx250 motor in it.So now i need two motors and need to get rid of a kx250 motor and a mid 80s rm250 almost complete but needs top end.

Just to keep you posted,Im lookin for a complete motor for either the 83 or 86 atc250r now.And i have the Tecate at my house now.Ill post pics asap.
