price for 1982 250r?

well the deal I had on a tecate fell through. And I'm getting a 1982 250r the plastic is pretty crackedand faded and the seat will need recovered but it runs and drives great. The engine and transmission and frame are in very good shape. What do you think would be a good price for it? I'm getting it for $350 I'm only gonna be riding trails and stuff around re house so I think being air cooled is ok for me. So do yall think this would be a good deal for me?

sorry i dont have any right now. if i just cleaned it up i think it would look really good the engine and frame still have a very good factory red paintjob on them. besides plastic and seat this is a VERY clean bike

ok i can probably get some tomorrow. its pretty dirty though it has brand new tires on the rear too but they are the stock size and i heard i should put 18"s on it

20 would be the best all around tire for it, 18s will kill all ground clearance unless you want to mx, and a 82 aint no mx'er! great trail trike!

i had wanted a little more for a trike, as in power and stuff, but this will be my first trike and all i will be doing is trail riding. so im thinking im gonna be good with this one for a while

oh yea the air cooled 250Rs can rip! easy mods to wake them up is locate a some kind of handformed pipe for it I have a JEMCO on my 83 and its crazy! pwerfect power everywhere! tried a DG and it was only marginaly better then stock. A good set of reeds of course and upgrade the carb to a newer flat slide (off a 86 up 250R) and A uni filter, if yu do some searching all that could be had for under 150, and it will wake that pup up! later on a bit of porting will be sweet, they have alot of casting crap in those stock cyls just cleaning them up will help alot.
