Well you can take this however you want but what the hell are you thinking when you say a 600 touring sled beat a skidoo 583. Thats not even a close race at all. A stock 583 will hit 105 easy and it gets there real fast. The one I have was a grass dragger and its clutched and it hits almost 110. Touring sleds arent made to be fast like the sport sleds. They are clutched and geared to be really torquey and smooth. And if it was an old ski-doo 400 it was probably a 400f/a TNT which woulda burned the polaris 500. I have the 400f/a the first year they made it and it hauls major ass but its a little scary because if you dont have a nice track to go fast on it rocks back and forth and bounces all over the place and its only about 25-30 inches wide. I also have a 74 400f/a which will almost take stock 600l/c sleds in a straight drag but it wont quite make it. Anyways if your moms touring sled is beating this 583 i want to see a video of it unless you have some 400 pound guy bottoming out the suspension on it and you on your moms sled with no weight on the back you might win that way but thats about it.
