to really make your old pipes shine use a buffing wheel. stick that thing on your bench grinder and go to town. i use the jewlers buffing compound and it made my ebay fattys look better then new. mothers or any of that kinda stuff will do an ok job on aluminum that has allredy been polished, but for chrome your need the big gun.
