I wouldn't go that far. The manufacturers are not purposely turning out junk just to support mechanics. I'd say the main reason for converting to 4 strokes is just to please the EPA and all the other tree-humping fucks out there.

But at least Doug Gust stated the truth. Most of the other riders are saying the 450s are the best quads ever just to please the manufacturers. You know that if Kory Ellis or Tim Farr said that the 250R was the best quad ever, they would hear it from Yamaha and Honda. 4 Strokes will never make as much power as two strokes CC for CC. It's pathetic to think that will all the technology that has gone into 4 strokes, they still need 200 more CCs to compete with 2 strokes, which haven't had much technological improvements in the past 20 years. A 1986 TRX250R will still compete with a 2005 TRX450R and YFZ450. Just think about that and let it soak in. Sad, isn't it?

With all that said, I hope Suzuki's new 450 is as bad ass as the rumors say. Doug Gust deserves to win at least one more championship before he retires again.
