i would be inclined to think lightening one side of the crank(flywheel side) alot in comparison to the other side would actually make the problem worse by throwing the weight bias out of propertion, but its hard to say . counterbalancers are actually a weight ,one nice thing is cr500 hold together alot better than other big bore bikes like kx and yz,cr500's have a good solid design /crank bearings
