My manual for my motor (oldskool) says to use 30 weight oil on the foam. Obviously this is what they did 28 years ago and is outdated but in a pinch sae 30 wt. will work. Don't use 30 wt. on a K&N.

why not i used it on the foam filter on my blaster and it worked great..

The k&n filter kit is $10 at autozone in michigan.
