I bought one and ran it for just a little while but found out quickly it wasnt for me......cause I ride trails and its way to easy to get the filter splashed with mud and water. I'd say they work pretty good for dunes or sand or whatever, just make sure you buy the outerwears filter cover with it......cheap insurance.

well my other question was does it give that much of an increase on power or is it just a waste of money?

ok you do realize if you but the airbox eliminator you will need to purchase the rear brake resavore bracket too
i would say if you ride dunes go for it but if you ride trails then dont get it

It really depends on where you ride. For Sand, these things are great. They do not like water at all though. If you trail ride a lot, this is not the way to go.

I trail ride every now and then, I usually use a milk jug and zip ties to build a little protection around the filter when I do. I avoid all puddles.

Like everything else, maintenance is the key. Keep it clean and oiled, you'll never have and issue.
