Default Your experience: NO-TOIL or sticky filter oil?

This is my first post and I haven't seen any topic on this. Do you have an opinion positive or negative about the NO-TOIL system?

I have been using NOTOIL fluid in my UNI foam filter, on my '01 YZ250. (Perhaps I should get a NO-TOIL filter.)

A lot of dune riding. Haven't noticed any sand in the intake. But I suppose it is possible to get smaller grains, perhaps microscopic, through. The fluid doesn't seem as sticky as the really gooey petroleum fluids. Have you noticed a difference in engine wear?

It just seems that my rings wore pretty fast this last time around.

If your riding the dunes alot then it's a good idea to replace the air filter with a clean one every day you ride. The sand plugs up the filter more than meets the eye. It causes the bike to run lean and hot which will burn up the rings.

a plugged air filter will cause a bike to run rich, not lean

That's right I had to work last night and only had 3 hours of sleep. No worries.
