timing

how do you tell if timing is set right?:violent5: , it bump starts easy enough but very diff. to kick start:violent4:

Start with ensuring the key and keyways are in good shape. Then align the marks on the stator plate for the factory setting. Both require you remove the flywheel. Most likely you have a lean pilot jet and need to go up a size or two. Then theres also a dirty carb, dirty air filter, vac leak in the base or intake, poor air filter to airbox contact, ect.
