Question +3+1 A arms

i'v been looking at pics with +2 and +3 arms, and it looks to lower the frontends.. is this a good thing for mx racing?? do you need longer shocks if you are going to mx race??? i know it helps the handeling, with stiffer shocks, but you loose travel. (frame closer to the ground) thanks for the insite.

the only thing it really does is it changes the amount of leverage on the shocks which makes them softer. most mx racers run zero preload shocks on the front ends to make them handle better, and they tend to sit a little lower

yea, the wider the a-arm the more leverage it creates on the shock. so the wider you go, stiffer springs/valving are a must
