Heim Joint Question for MX Quad!

I want to restore my other banshee this winter and want to put extended a-arms, etc. on it. This bike will be used for a mx track and trail riding. Would I be better of buying a a-arm with a sealed ball joint or a heim joint? Any help would be appreciated towards building a bike like this.

I like the heim's on mine. You MUST MAKE SURE TO USE LOCTITE ON THE BOLT THOUGH!!!!! The first ride I took on mine the bolt fell out and it wasn't pretty. Chris will tell you about BigK's incident with that happening to him.

What Kind Of A-arms Do You Have? Any That U Would Recommend?

I have the ASR Pro Star +2+1 a-arms. The new ones they're selling are better than the old ones cuz they have a big gusset plate in them. I sent my old ones in under warranty and they sent me the new style ones. I bent the old lower arms a bit because my suspension needed to be rebuilt and I was bottoming out all the time.

I think these ones are great but you'll hear otherwise from some other people.

You Dont Have Any Problems With The Heim Joints In The Mud? Are They Nosiey? My One Buddy Has Heim And They Squeak Alot.

i always wondered about them, seems like you would be replacing helm joints every other ride from all the crap getting in them and wearing them out.

Mine are fine. They clean up fine. Lately I've started to spray a teflon lubricant on them regularly, but I've never heard them squeak before I started to do it.

I Ended Up Getting Some Denton Plus 2 And Plus 1's. They Have The Normal Ball Joints Instead Of The Heims. They Appear To Be Really Nice Arms. Any Opinions On Dentons?

I've never seen them up-close, but I assume they are a good set. How do you like them? Take a pic of them upclose and post it so we can see.
