| The MachZ does have the most HP for a stock 1000 motor. If you know other wise show some proof don't be a jackass behind a keyboard thinking you know everything. This is straight infomation from snowgoer. I don't know where you get your information but if the Thundercat was more powerfull you think there would be many articles about it.

| my brother just picked up a new f6 this year. he has found in all the magazines that it is supposed to be the fastest and most powerful 600 class machine this year. the dealer he got it from said that it will easily do bout 140mhp. not sure on the hp tho. but he said something about a direct drive on these which gives them better takeoff and everything. he said hes raced a couple sleds in the 600-700cc size and hasnt lost yet. he also said he saw some dude with one of the 4poke sleds...and he said its fast on a packed trail accross the lake, but once it got into any loose snow it sank and got stuck.

| I doubt it will do 140 because my lake sled barely gets into the 140mph range and its bored, piped, ported, milled head, clutched and geared. Id say around 120-130tops because 120 is a higher range for a 600cc. Last years f7 was only hitting right around 120.

| yea im not sure. all i know is that it has a new drive system that gives it better take off and alot less moving weight.

| That 600 will get 100 max. Sorry but my 600HO will do around 90 tops. The dealer he bought from must be knee deep. The direct drive is a nice features if they stay together. There have been many setups that keep failing. The MachZ was supposed to be Direct Drive but it had to much power and just destroyed the direct drive system. I think when they get Direct Drives mastered it will be a great feature but till then I am staying away. I hope your brother didn't really believe it would do 140mph. My MachZ does 140 probably a little more.

| actually i would belive my brother on this one. first off he knows more about snowmobiles than quite a few people on this site combined, 140 isnt that much for a sled, specially these new ones. but yea me personally i only think round 125-130 for it. thats what the dealer said, and im pretty sure my brother knows the guy enough to belive him. those machZ im sure goes round 150....for a 1000...im pretty sure it can. but 90.....for those new 600's? specially the F6 is low.

| Well I guess live the dream. However go to a radar run and it won't get more than 105-110 tops. Sorry thats just reality. I am sure the machz would go 150 however if you have ever done 140mph on a sled at that speed you whole body even ducking under the windshield wants to throw you off the back not to mention it will press your helmet right into your face to the point you will have a hard time breathing. Unless your drag racing and that is it those speeds are just pointless. My 600 will smoke the crap out of the MachZ in the Trails of Northern NH just because it is light and has a sweet chassis. As for what I know about sleds I have been riding since I was 10 years old. Ive owned and ridden almost every sled that has been made for the past 10 years because of a local snowmobile show that has a free ride demo program. I have not ridden a new F6 with the direct drive but the old one would have a hard time breaking 100mph. So to say the Direct Drive is going to give you 40mph better sorry I'm not buying it but I will be riding one sometime this year and maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it

| well all i can say is that my brother knows arctic cats. after he got rid of his john deere (his first sled) almost all he has had were cats. the only dragging he does is for shits and grins against people on lake minniqua where he lives. and hes said that everything he has raced that were 600's and 700's and i think even one 800, well they all lost. but it is a proven fact that this new F6 is the fastest 600 of this year so thats saying something, might not mean it goes 140 but it is pretty close, cuz i remember my brother was saying that the dealer told him that sled would go 136 ( i rounded to 140 for simplicity sake) exactly. (134 mabe not sure). my brother has had the zr600 and zrt600 and he says that this new F6 to him has like twice the power of that zr and the zrt also has less. but well iv only driven that zr so ill have to see what that F6 does when he comes down today.

| ohh and also not sure if last years F6 had the EFI but this one does, iv heard that gives it better performance, but well im just gonna go and end this argument. really the only reason i belive my brother over you is cuz i know him and iv known enough of him to know he will tell the truth about sleds since thats like his speciality. northern wis. has alot of snowmobileing tourists and he knows like all the people that own the shops up there.
