I agree this is going now where. Just on a closing note go check out this thread at hardcoresledders

http://www.hardcoresledder.com/forum...howtopic=72263

They are reporting 105mph average and that is based on GPS not speedo the one with 112mph is going off the speedo. Granted non are the 06 since it is so new. However I hope you understand that a 600 is not going to do 130, 134, 136 or 140. I am guessing 110-115mph tops.

It really doesn't matter you will very rarely go even 100

Oh and the direct drive doesn't really add speed it is more of an acceleration gain just a heads up

yea well i dunnoo. the speed that the dealer is probility saying is what it says on the speedo which is off as was proven in that gps part you put up. but well you never know they might have just geared it up a lil with the less weight and the efi might help it a lil. never know untill you get that one on the dyno too.

I think the speed the dealer is say is to get a sale. Maybe he ment the speedo goes up to 140mph.

If that 600 is geared to do those speeds that would make it the slowest sled in the world off the line. The only way to keep off the line and get more top end is more power.

yea well im betting the dealer jacked the speed up some, but the efi might make a bit of a difference if the older one didnt have it, and well you dont know about the gearing, mabe a little bit of a change too but it cant be much cuz my brother says that thing really has balls still.

Having balls is totally different than having top speed. The EFI will help accelleration however the motor is only going to spin so fast say it goes to 11000 rpm that is the the highest the motor will spin no matter what you do to the motor. However some exhaust mods will help raise the RPM if it is not goverened by the CDI. I think?

I am sure it is fast off the line the Direct drive is a really hot setup but it won't change the top speed. The only things that change the tops speed are the motor, Top Gear, bottom Gear, Track Size and paddle size, RPM, and a few other things I am sure I am missing.

well i dont know but the whole computer setup with the efi might have a change with the rpm? not totally sure on this cuz i dont know exactually how the efi computers work. ohh and also with the efi and the DD they might even be able to put different weights and springs in the clutch to change the speeds with that. the clutches make alot of a difference cuz if the clutch opens up faster and engages earlier you can get more speed.

Well usually when people clutch a sled they make more acceleration which then takes away from top speed. I've clutched many sleds in the past and truthfully it doesn't help that much with new sleds because the manufactures clutches it pretty good.

I don't know what the gearing is on the F6 but it would have to be pretty crazy or have slose to a 16000rpm redline.

The new mach z 1000s can push into the 140s with some minor dialing in. With a porting job and some pipes it can push 150 maybe go over. The one I rode was dialed in nice and I was about to hit 140 but I ran out of lake. My 1100 mxz will push 145 and it could probably hit 150+ if i re-geared it and clutched it for all top speed. I have to agree with banshee no stock 600 is going to hit 140 id have to disagree with 120 id say being very very generous 110. My fathers formula z 583 only hits 115 and its setup for grass dragging and the 583 has way more compression than the 600 and the 583 is faster than a newer rev600 in a straight line anyways.

yea well this year the F6 is the fastest in its class. but well i guess we just have to wait till someone puts it through its tests and sees what it can do.
