Default No Spark

My 2003 F7 Firecat EFI died at the lake the other day. I went to warm it up when i took it off the trailer, but it only ran for 10 sec. It died like the emergence stop was hit. I have no spark and think it could be the ecu. I have checked the key swicth,e-stop and coil. They work fine. I unpluged all connectors and check grounds. Still no spark. Dose anyone know how to check a ecu with out bringing it to the dealership, or any other ideas on things i should check?

those sleds are complicated..take it to a dyno shop and they plug it into their comp. it will cost about 100 bucks

It was the ignition timing sensor that went bad. $120. for the part.

ohh....i was going to say check the ignition coil since thats what went bad on my kawi invader and it seemed to act like described. ohh by the way does anybody have the ignition coil off the stator for either an invader or intruder 340 or 440? Thanks.

speed doesnt kill, its usally hitting something and suddenly becomming stationary that does it

the ignition timing sensor was not bad. the dealer ship called me today because the guy that was working on it was on vacation last week. he said the sensor was fine and that it was just a miss print in the manual about the resistance it should have to be good. they call arctic cat to find out . the ecu is bad and can not be fixed. new ones are $1255. the dealer ship said they would give me 20% off the ecu since this is the second sled that this happend to. the first sled only ran for 5 min. out of the box and then fried it's self. i will try to find a used one on e-bay.

i found a ecu for my sled on e-bay for $300. the ecu have a circle symbol on it. my old one had a square on it. and there is all so one with a triangle. I went to the dealer and they said you have to match the symbol on the ecu the the symbol on the fuel injection rail. some of the sled have different injector sizes. the symbols are for different fuel pressures, to match your setup. i sent out my new ecu to get reprogrammed for the square settings. the dealer said it would coast $20 for reprogramming, then i have to pay for shipping. $320 is a lot better than the $1255 for a new one.
