The Glamis Corps
climb any hill
12-20-2007

Here's an article about the Banshee vs yfz450 vs 660 Raptor.
They take the quads out to Glamis and battle it out!

As much as it hurts me to say it...I agree with the article.
I feel that the info was fair. This is one of the first articles
that I have read where I felt that they were not out to
bash on the banshee...just straight up info. Great find!

They forgot to mention stock Banshee tires suck, even more on sand & especially in Glamis where it's too soft.
I know they're talking stock for stock, but paddle up the shee, slap on the t5's & we can show them whos boss!!
The shee will rip out the bowls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should have at least mounted
them with some paddles. Doing a
comparison in the dunes with dirt
tires is kinda weird...although, they
did mention that the banshee stock
tires compared to the others do suck.

naw! i think the article was fair..... but who the f#$% takes stock bikes with dirt tires and tests them in the sand? thats stupid! they need to add the same set of paddles to each bike, then test them! i would be realy interested in seeing those results....as for the results at hand, they prove nothing except, you need sand tires to ride in the sand.....

A good duner can make those knobbies work. I've seen it deep in the dunes, but in Glamis...... .... ..
You're just missing out on alot of good riding without those paddles.

I definately agree with you guys.
Its definately doesnt make much
sense...good artice none the less.
I run knobbies in the sand most of
the time because I like to slide around
but for serious duneing...definately
got to mount up the paddles.

This article is old...it mentions the Raptor 660...
If they compared all new models, and included the 700, the shee in stock trim would finish dead last to these other bikes.

Who the hell leaves their shee stock anywho?? LOL...
