the 2stoke diesel have ports in the cylinders. on modern diesel engines both valves are open at the same time and the boost psi pushes the spent gases out the exhaust.
the 2/4 would be possible think of it this way in both 2 and 4 the piston is the same, the valves do the same just in a different place, the ecm can open them when needed, the intake from the top to the bottom and exhaust at the top with the intake open at the top and the boost psi will push out the spent gasses. it would be a powerfull engine. think of it with no2 |
