| Yea if you want the combo of both then a nice 250r chassis with a wicked 450 motor would be nice.. The geometry of the 250r chassis just can't be matched and easy riding of a 4 stroke with power is much easier.. Mind you this, slowly they are starting to do away with the after market of the 2 strokes but luckily the 250r is still the strongest one out there so stuff is left to buy.. Hmmm 350r 2 stroke of a 535 yfz... I love the smell of 2 stroke oil in the morning ![]()

| well ive got a laeger R, taht i still love, it handles amazingly well its super light, it revs up quick with the cr ignition, but ive also got a 08 LTR, and for a stock machine its amazing, just take off the lid and baffle and throw on a cherry bomb, and it runs with my R, it comes stock 49 inches wide with long travel suspension, it may not handle as good but its still almost as good, but its stock, and my R has 20 grand into it, so i think that shoudl say alot on its own, if your on a budget get a LTR, if youve got money get a 250r or a KFX450, or wait untill next year and get the the KTM 450mx |

| Thanks for the help. Went with a 2002 Lonestar 250r chassis witha YZ426 motor in it. Skeered of the the fourstrokes cus of the maintenence and the fact that i know nothing about them, but i had to see what all the hype is about. Never rode a fourstroke till now but as Jim Carrey would say " I like it alot". I will post pics later. Always wondered why those idiots would spend 3gs on good suspension, now i know why. |

| I have both too, 86 R and 05 yfz. I bought it used, crank went about a month later. Tore down bought all parts to build it for mx, got a 06 motor. Just needs powdercoat and few small misc parts. Im finally getting around to it now (a year later). I bought the 250R and quickly forgot about the yfz. Im probably gonna sell the yfz when i get it finished and try to find a nice trx and atc project to mess with. Like everyone else has mentioned yfz's are fast and a nice bike but not very reliable. |
