the 2:1 rule doesn't apply anymore. thats and antiquaited rule of thumb.. if there was the technogly put into a modern 2 stroke as there is a modern 4 stroke. that rule may apply... but the funny part is that the banshee engine was designed well over 20 yeas ago... in fact it was deigned in teh 70's.. and is clasely realted to a bike yamahe made called a rd350.. and later a rd350LC.

so really what your sayign is that your tri-z's sould easily take out 450's ass day long stock for stock by your rule of thumb..

and if your rule is true... then why do 250cc 2 strokes and 450cc 4 strokes compete in the same classes?

the fact of the matter is that your new 4 strokes are more designed for preformance than our old 2 strokes were... in the 80's when most 2 stroke quads were designed there was no big ATV market like today... they came out following the lawsuit frenzy that trikes suffered and all of these machines were very choked down from factory.. even the banshee.. why yamaha never changed it baffles me... have you ever looked at the cylinder casting of a banshee, blaster, or tri-z... they are very crude... and very flawed as far as performance goes.. the orginal banshee design was competeign against 250r, lt250r's, and tecates..
i love it that even 20+ years later... they are still trying to catch the banshee...

lets see here... there are stock stroke stock bore banshees over 100hp.... has there ever been a raptor 700 over 10hp?. in fact banshee based engines push far more than 100 hp everyday.. and do it realiably..

what exactly did you try to prove with this video

the yfz is modded, removed spark arrestor and air box lid which is good for a couple hp, and the 700 has nothing. and they're basically side by side.
