Default more wheelie practice

Since i took the crappy 450 front end off, i can now throw the front end up MUCH easier. here's a clip.

http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/f...omp2-18-08.flv

getting better but it's been awhile. I got tired of doing them out of the powerband so i started to pull her up in 3rd on the pipe. It's not too hard. I need to work on my throttle control. I blimp it too hard and it isnt smooth as you can see.

I dont know if i am ready to try to upshift with it on. I noticed in Zachs wheelie vid and others they dont shift and they balance. That's what i want to work on...balance. I think balance comes before shifting gears.

c&c welcome.

Looking good! I remember the old video... huge difference! You popping those on 2nd gear?
Back to basics with stock shee front end? Feels better than yfz arms right?

yea dont worry about trying to upshift because your revving out , if you can balance it you dont need to, you had a couple good ones goin there for a sec, alot better than your other video a while back, lookin good

nice job Cody ..that bike looks like its an arm puller even down low to jump up like that and for 142 pounds of compression id say thats pretty strong ,you must have got the jetting dialed in ,oh and your wheelies are pretty good ..a helluva lot better than i can do them cause im a puss i get too far back and chicken out

Yeah i pop them up in 2nd. Due to lack of traction, i slam my ass down and pull up on the bars to prevent wheel spin. In around 20 sec left in the vid i do a 3rd gear one where i just use the power to pull her up.

MJ only reason i care to shift up is to get in a higher gear so it wont be so snappy.

grab bar only touched the ground a few times today. Im pretty decent on the rear brake. I can slow myself down to a stop w/o bringing the front end down. Biggest problem all around is consistency. Im practicing though. I understand it's not something you get over night and using a banshee isnt the easiest of bikes to learn haha.

As for jetting, it's where i like it. Yesterday i took out 2 rebuild kits and did both carbs. I left the 320 mains in there and i moved the needle clip one richer so now it's on the middle clip. Seems just fine. It's crisp and once the powerband comes on it's retarded powerful. I think i could do 310's but i wanna be safe. I think the needle is correct. It's very simple to mess with so if i feel a hickup midrange ill lean the needle out but i dont think there is any hickup at all. She runs great. On that video where i am in 3rd and pull her up. everytime i blimped the throttle my foot slipped off the peg. Damn she got power! I will install back my neft bars very soon. Safety first. Last thing i want is my leg under the tire.

My 250 pops up like nothing but there's no grab bar. I have a bad habit of freakin out and forgetting the rear brake and go over backwards. to me a wheelie on a dirtbike looks cooler. I dont care to ride the 250 over at my house because it's not too fun w/o jumps and whoops.
