thts slowing u down...naw it wont hurt it...ok when u give it gas let the throttle got and as soon as u do tht shift..it has to be a quick shift as soon as u let off the gas

naaa use the clutch man. if not u could slip into false nutral and fuck a gear up or 2. then be stuck with a busted tranny. the clutch is there for a reason...... use it. oh and start in seccond. dont let the clutch out all at once. hold it at about half throttle then at the same time that you start letting the clutch out start rolling on the throttle. your gonna have to "burn up" the clutch a little bit to click off a quick 60ft cuz this seems to be where u r lacking. clutches are cheap but im shure u know that. next i would invest in a modded shift star if you dont allready have one. makes for easier shifts with less effort. as for gearing, pic up a cupple diffrent sizes of countershaft sprockets. maybe 14,15,16..... try these out cuz 1 tooth up front makes a huge diffrence + most of the time there is enough adjustment in the carrier so that u dont have to buy a new chain. how many inches over is your swingarm?

id run 17 41 gearing and launch outta second ,get your shift star modifed and install a shift pro spring kit .that wil ldefinitly improive and smooth out shifting but you should stil luse the clutch ,now if yo uhave a few extra hundred dollars laying around get yourself an override cut tranny ,you use the clutch only for a second gear launch then jus t shift up like a madman itll smoothly shift like butter under ful l throttle high rpm screaming ,theres a huge advantage to a rider who doesnt have to let off the throttle ,youll jsut rol ldown the track and shave tons of time o n that tranny mod alone.

i never go into nuetrual while shifting with out the clutch

i have a 6" over swing arm and when i take off i just use the 2 step so i just have it at full throttle i set it to 10,000 and that overide tranny where could i get one and how much?

i thought i heard a 2 stage rev limiter. do you use the shee for anything other than drag? or is this gonna be your strip banshee. i would recomend an override or "cut" tranny mod if draging is all you do. if so you should also invest in a wheelie bar. cuz once you through them slicks on there its gonna be wheelie city out of the hole. now is it just something you do every once and a while? if the shee still sees dunes or whatever kind of non-drag riding u do then keep the tranny the way it is.

dave moore is busy til llate spring and his prices could be lower ,id contact cameron at Redline racing hes got a reliable override tranny out now that is only 250$ and is dunable ,to learn more PM member Odaen about it ,several of us on here are going to get one soon

i never saw myself going to a full blow drag quad but i think i am leaning in that direction because it got realy adicting and that is what the banhsee does best and also if u guys have seen huevos 7 jow do they keep there banshee down with no wheelie bar
