| I have a 1976 Yamaha DT100 enduro that I just bought recently. I cannot seem to get it started, but have confirmed that it has spark, and is getting fuel. The cylinder head is brand new and compression seems fine. All I have been able to get is a back-fire once in a while, usually while trying to roll-start. Maybe its the timing? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks |

| It turned out to be the timing, as soon as I made a little adjustment it fired right up first try. Now, however it seems to have a carburation problem or something...I can be riding along and the motor will either rev itself way up or start to die out. I checked the carb and everything seemed fine. Floats move freely, there doesn't seem to be any vaccum leaks around the hoses, slide opens and closes properly...any theories? |
