Default 1st time ebay buyer!!

I orderd a brake resevor from a guy on ebay (my first time buying anything off there) and in the description it said "used rear brake reservoir in good working condition" I didn't know that meant that the screw was broken off!!...Why the hell do people do that?..for ten damn dollars?... some people today are F***ed up!!.. and to be my first time to buy anything off ebay and to get screwed over like that isn't a good expirience. do alot of people rip you off when you buy parts like this or is it just some dicks like him? his name was omnis85..i wouldn't recomend anyone buying from him!!!

That sucks that your first time buying on ebay was all *ucked up like that. I have had pretty much all good experiences on ebay. I don't buy anything without a pic though and I don't buy off of people that don't return my questions when I ask. I had a guy not return and ansewer my questions and he lost money on the deal. I had 2 bids of $100 and pulled my bid due to him not answering my e-mail and he lost out on about $65. Oh well. So I still don't have plastic but atleast he didn't break one off in my ass by screwing me. I guess we just all have to watch out who we buy off of.

I have bought about 20 some items off ebay, and had really good luck on all but one...I bought a new tool box from a guy, told me three times he would send it to me, no such luck. Pay pal was no help, they got me 20 bucks back, ebay was no help. lost about 200.00 on the deal...I no longer buy any thing that cost alot. This guy had good feed back, then about the time i bought the tool box hes feed back went to hell...All ebay did was kick him off...suzuki LT250R makes a good point, email them before you bid, if they don't reply don't bid....or remove your bid......ebay can be a great place but you have to watch your ass and look out for your self, no one eles is.....Good luck in the future......

I agree with both of you, you have to be careful whom you buy form, e-mail them, look at their feedback, ask any question you can possibly think of when buying an item !
I have had very good luck on e-bay with over 70 transactions, most buying some selling. I even bought a quad and another frame from ebay flawlessly, just pick and choose who you bid from, feedback is helpful, but not a tell all, as some people don't leave it for whatever reasons and others simply leave good feedback even if it wasn't good because they are afraid they will get negative in return.
Unfortunately that helps out nobody!
When buying high priced items I always try to get a phone cal in, see if the person sounds sincere person to person, unfortunately not everyone is willing to do this, the way I look at it if I am willing to bid on an engine or a machine I want to hear from you personally just to see if you sound honest and to hear a verbal description, ask questions, etc.
I hope your first ebay experience doesn't ruin it for you, there are a lot of good buys on there and a lot of good honest people, just ask lots of questions and avoid anything that seems to good to be true, they usually are

You really do have to becarefull and contact with the seller will help a lot. Sometimes people hack into accounts that have good feedback and have not been used in awhile. This allows them to scam you money because you see the good feedback. All in all I like ebay but it is a very dangerous place to do business. I hope nobody has had any issues with my ebay service. I did get a bad feedback from someone who never told me they did not get the sticker so how am I to help them. Then got pissed because I told them I would refund the money or send the sticker only if they withdrawn the bad feedback. Never heard back from them after that. I think the biggest problem with ebay is lack of training or information about how to go about doing things. I think the feedback system sucks. I sold 3 a-arms the other arm was bent so I did not sell it. One guy bought all 3 Told me he was going to pay never did. Tried to get a hold of him and never got a responce so I left bad feedback. Well he in turn left me negative feedback saying that I lied and the arms were junk. How can he say they were junk he never say them in person. I think its wrong to let a buyer leave bad feedback or that matter the seller with out providing good proof to ebay. If he got the a-arms and they were junk I would have gave his money back but he never paid for it.

Kinda stupid if you ask me.

Yea...guess next time i'll hafta contact the person and get more info. I got the resovior to work though. Luckly suzuki didn't thread the screw into the plastic and instead they put a nut on the end of the screw . It did take about an hour to dig the nut out of the plastic. i had to heat up a screw driver and melt the plastic around it with out going through the resovior. It just would have been easier to have one that could have went right on.

I have another question though. What is the proper way to blead you brakes? I got them to work but not sure if i did it correctly? is there a wrong way to do it?..i just loosend up the bleed screw and pushed lightly on the brake, then tightend it and it did nothing. i then just about totaly drained the resovior doing that then added fluid and they worked?...can someone tell me the correct way to do this? thanks

Pump the brake about 10 times then hold down the brake and open the nipple on the caliper. You should hear air come out and some fluid so be carefull. Do this over and over until your break becomes hard and feels good.

Your bitching about ten dollars. You should be happy it wasn't a big chunk of money. The first time i used e-scam i got taken for $900 for a banshee engine i never recieved. This guys name is Donald Yelovich Jr. with the screen names of xtreme_bulldogs and CLIXTRIX. I don't think this pile of s**t ever even had the engine. Now i'm stuck trying to save money to buy two jugs to rebuild my bike so if anyone knows a place to get affordable complete jugs, let me know-please.

How did you pay through pay pal? Do you have an account with them or did you use a credit card through them? I'm curious because i've had a bad experience on ebay ($900) and the last time i talked to pay pal they said the only way i wouldn't get my money back is if the seller cancels his pay pal account and refuses to reply to paypals letters.
