weak banshee bottom-end

i just recently bought a BRAND NEW 2006 banshee...never been touched...it had a full tank of 50:1 when i got it and it ran great, but after that ran out, i've been doing 24:1 like i'm supposed to...its been backfiring a little bit when i first start it up when it warms up and the bottom-end seems really weak until i hit mid-range and power band, then its nothing but power...any reasons to why the bottom-end is weak?

yeah becasue you went from 50:1 (not good unless your running good oil
to 24:1) that is a big diffence and 24:1 means more oil, slower burn,higher temp, less power run the bike 40 to one with a good synthetic oil AMS, Klotz, or Belray

At 24:1 there is almost exactly twice as much oil content than at 50:1
That means that you're getting a lot less fuel through the jet, because there is more oil in the mixture.....and that means you are LEAN. This is bad.
Read "jetting 101" then correct the lean problem with a jet change.
Then turn the airscrews in a little to richen the idle mixture so it starts easier

Are you using the same oil that was used at 50:1? And are you now using regular oil @24:1? Have you checked the condition of your reeds?

I'm surprised 50:1 was used at first, what kind of oil was the 50:1?
What kind of oil are you using for 24:1?
To be honest, this bike is brand new and bone stock....even a decent oil at 24:1 shouldn't kill the motor...but it probably fouled the plugs.
Mix at 32:1, put fresh plugs in....

I'm Moving this to Banshee Subforum since this really has nothing to do with good/bad or indifferent selling experience...

i use about 4-5o to a gal of gas...
not sure what that is..

4 oz of oil to 1 gallon of gas = 32:1 get a ratio rite cup and stop the guess work
