New to 2 stokes, can somebody help me?

I recently made a trade for a 2001 Yamaha Banshee. I got the bike and all of a sudden it started messing up on me. In first and second gear I get hardly no throttle response. After 3rd it's fine. It dies while sitting in neutral. The left exhaust does not release smoke until the rpm's are high. I checked the spark plug and it was fine... Any insight? Somebody told me to get a smaller pilot jet.. If somebody can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

i would try a brand new plug first.

Mabey check the resistance in your ignition coil bro. sounds like the same thing that happened to me. Oh and this help fourm is for if your having problems with the website. mabey post your problem here>>>http://forums.everything2stroke.com/banshee/ ( you will get more hits)or ask a mod to move it there. good luck but check your coil.
