Default uuhmm... wth it's stripping or something...

Ok... so I was trying to put the coolhead back on and everything tightened down great.. except for the left side (as your sitting on it) closest nut to the exhaust.. it's not getting tight and the stud is getting taller.. it looks like it's actuallly ripping it out... so.. wtf am I supposed to do I just got all this back together and there is no way in hell "I" am taking it apart and putting it back together again so soon..

damn that sucks!!! u are gonna have to tap that ass. i meant tap the hole. im not sure but i think they make a helicoil that size. so u drill it bigger put a helicoil in thereand seat stud all the way. or u can take the nut off try and tighten the stud and maybe you might have enough threads left. but i wouldnt count on it!

That stud is supposed to stay in place, not supposed to move.. Sounds stripped to me! Time for a helicoil!

already been helicoiled we pulled it out and looked kinda like a spring/threaded metal on it

anyways shoved it back down there and we are going to snug it and use another nut to lock it tight

Your problem isn't the nut... it's the stud pulling out of the cylinder. If you don't fix it right it will probably leak.

Putting a second nut on the stud will not fix anything.

Yah i know you dont want to but you need to take it apart, just take the head back off and take a look, like everyone else said sounds like your just pulling the stud out off the cylinder, fix it the right way and be done with it, if you cant get it tight its going to leak.
