Well the way I see it get the most power and reliable that I can get and if figure the 330 was it. I currently have boysen rad value, bore 40 over, psi head, 38 pwk AS, FMF Fatty pipe. run ok but I wnat MORE ALOT MORE. I looked a just getting a port job and running up my compression, and change my pipe but I didn't figure that that would give me the horses that a 310 or 330 would produce.

are you planing on having the 310 or 330 ported? If you werent then actually a ported stock cylinder would give more power than an unported big bore cylinder, or at least close to it.

I was going to get the trx9 port from esr for the 310 or 330. I looked at porting my stock jug but I figure I will get more form a 310 or 330 ported with less compression

What i am looking for is something to eat the new 450-700 4 strokes. I do a little drag racing but I trail ride, and hillclimb so I dont want to loss no bottom end and go with all topend. What I want my not be possible. I have had a 250r for years and have look around very little at the 310 and 330 kit but really had no need for it untill now. I want to show the young kid in high school what a two stroke can do. I am a teacher at a career center and they think they can eat my little 250 may be they can don't know yet........I just want to make it to where they can't. I don't want to go out on a ride and get out run and then come back and have to make some changes i prefer to do the upgrade so when the tail gate drops I can make their bull crud stop!

Is this suggesting you don't want to race fuel, your never going to get the best power out that way.

on a correctly ported cylinder with the right head set up and bolt ons, you could pull on a raptor or 450 pretty easily.

You should still be around 190-200psi with a 310. If setup correctly with the trx 9 porting and a 5 pipe you will be in the mid to low 50's for hp which will take out most mild 450's. That with a 38 as and whatever reeds you choose is a solid motor you can ride everywhere.
