Default finding stock bore + piston ring gap and piston size

Yea i know the first thing you guys will suggest is use inside calipers to measure the bore of the cylinder, however i bought the bike second hand probly bout a year ago and im not sure how much or if its even been bored, is there a way of telling if it has?

not sure about piston ring gap and piston size, im a bit sketchy on details so a little info on pistons and piston ring size would be great

thanks guys

Default

well i found an old pair of american vernier calipers gave em a scrub and got some measurements

Cylinder bore: 54mm

Piston: 53.6mm

piston ring: 2.3mm

obviously a tight fit, still seems a bit loose to me considering the piston and ring has done well over 65 hours.

how would a 53.6mm piston with a 3.2mm ring go with a 54mm cylinder? i know that a tighter fitting piston is less prone to seizure but also needs a proper break in.
