| well , this sucks. my brother had his blaster top end rebuilt. it only took the shitty shop that did it 2 months for some reason. they said they checked the entire electrical system. they didn't . the thing still doesn't run right. it didn't even idle when he got it back. it acts the same as it did when we took it in. we replaced the stator with adj. timing plate, the coil, and the cdi. all brand new. still nothing. the carb appears to be junk now. the shop told him that they cleaned it and changed the gear oil. thats a crock of crap. anyway. it seems like the carb is getting gas but the moter may not be. is there any really good way to tell? if not he is going to replace it with a new one. PLEASE HELP. |

| it doesn't want to start , floods easy, if and when you can get it started it boggs like crazy. timing palte was put on right. only gave it +3 in timing. the cdi was a direct replacement. doesn't seem like its getting gas. top end was just rebuilt has maybe five minutes on it . |

| did u try any different jets on it or messing with the idle and air screws on the carb...maybe its the t.o.r.s. system if its still hooked up...just cut the wires or take them apart depending on which year and dont splice them together...and if none of that helps check to see if all ur electrical is good...and is the oil injector still on? |

| well check the plug. If it smells like gas or its wet then your geting some fuel. YOu could be running too rich. What main jet is in it? And if its a stock carb just turn the screw on top of the TORS to adjust the idle. If it doesnt want to turn done force it or else you could ruin that great design yamaha came up with for it. |

| it won't start at all noow. before the plug was a little black and moist. not real wet. the main jet is a 220 . it's bored .40 over , dg pipe , K&N w/out the lid.the plug doesn't smell like gas. tors is still on. i un pluged it . no help. it's almost a new motor with everything that has been done to it. running out of patience and money. thanks for all of the help . i appreciate it . thanks again . |

| isnt a 230 main stock? I know DG's arent the best pipes in the world but do they give any gain? i have a toomey for sale if hes interested in a good pipe for a stock cylinder. Did you get to get on the topend at all? |

| 220 main is stock for 1988-1989 230 in 1990 to current br I run a blaster in illinois fmf fatty & silincer, rad valve, uni filter and I just ran a 290 main today im going to try 280 next time though im thinking maybe youve got two different problems jetting and electrical get a spark tester you just hook it up in- line and see if the light lights up. |

| where in illinois are you. we are in bloomington/normal. it's got sperk. we tested that before the new electical items. thought that was the problem. now that the no spark issue was fixed it has another. put in new stator , cdi, coil. |
