Unhappy Blaster having problems revving

ok, my blaster is having problems revving out, and sometimes just running at all. what happened was, we were at the badlands saturday and had been riding all day, it was about 5 oclock, and i get to the top of a hill and she just dies on me after i drive about 10 feet. so i cant get it started and have to drive it back to the parking lot, where i change the spark plug and it still wont run. then today i get it out and fire it up, and it dosent want to rev out. when i push the throttle, the rpms do not climb like normal and it will not rev all of the way up. when i put it in gear and try to go it would just try to die i couldnt get it to move more than a few feet. so i am wondering what people think it is, it will just not rev up like it usually does, maybe like it is running out of fuel. or could it be a spark issue? im just looking for opinions on what it could be. thanks guys.

oh yes i forgot to mention that the compression is fine and that it will not start after it dies. if you let it set for a few hours it will start back up and run the same way.

It could be the reeds or you could have sheared the flywheel key. Usually if a reed petal breaks it won't run at all. I would pull the flywheel off and check the key.

check fuel flow. maybe have some trash in the tank and pluged the petcock. my wifes 4poke had stuff in the tank and very little fuel was getting through the petcock, check spark and the key like said before. clean the carb and air filter. my blaster got trash through the screan in the tank and pluged the main jet. luckly i was playing with jetting so i see it before any damage was done, i had only one plug chop on it and the plug was still white.
