I am just looking to add some more power in 3rd gear for climbing hills at the dunes. I do not want to lose the reliability of the blaster.

It is nice to be able to go to any parts store in the area and get what I need. Do you have a suggestion on a pipe?

How much time does it take to tune a different carb?

My point was that just replacing the crank and upgrading to the Vitos 240 cylinder did not blow me away with excess power. There is no way that this thing puts out 32 HP

The 240 and crank were done because I lost the rod/crank bearing, and I was on the last overbore.

I know, more questions than answers.

yeah a pipe is a nice upgrade... i got the power pros and am very impressed ,especially with the bb ported and stroked... i started out by buying a part here and a piece there and came to the conclusion that one part alone only adds minimal gains , but its everything working together that produces the best performance... air, fuel, motor, and exhaust... If all these aren't working complimentary to your setup, you will not see the full potential... whether big bore, ported, or stroker... just my two sense...

ported stock cylinder with fmf pipe stock carb and stroker will keep your power in the bottom end. not a top end monster but plenty of torque and nice powerband. top of third really pulls. but bottom of first and second there is plenty of whellie poppin torque
